The freehand strip cutter was designed for preparation of parallel strip samples from thin sheet materials, e.g. flexible films, foil, paper, non-wovens and some fabrics, typically up to 1mm thickness.
FSC-1 is supplied with a fixed cutting width of 10mm, 15mm, 25mm or 25.4mm (1 inch), whereas FSC-2 is supplied with change spacers for cutting all widths in one unit.
Standards
ASTM F88, ASTM F2029, ASTM F1921, ISO EN 868-5 and many others requiring a parallel sample of specific width.
